Routes from Tenerife North Airport

TFN → Puerto de la Cruz (25 km, 25 minutes)

The main resort of the north — green mountains, banana plantations, a historic centre and Playa Jardín beach (black volcanic sand). The TF-5 west is a straight road with no hairpins. The VW Taygo Automatic or Skoda Fabia Auto is ideal for this route.

TFN → Santa Cruz de Tenerife (12 km, 15 minutes)

The island capital — the Auditorio de Tenerife (Calatrava architecture), the Rambla, shopping streets and the Museo de la Naturaleza y el Hombre. For the city a VW Polo or Skoda Fabia is handier — central parking is limited.

TFN → La Orotava (30 km, 30 minutes)

Tenerife's most beautiful historic town — 16th–17th-century mansions, flower-filled balconies and views of Teide. TF-5 west → TF-30 into the mountains. A Nissan Qashqai or Skoda Kodiaq for a family trip.

TFN → Teide via La Orotava (60 km, 1 hour)

The TF-21 through La Orotava is the most scenic climb to Teide. Green vineyards gradually give way to lava fields. At the top — the Pico Viejo crater, lava flows and the cable-car station (2,350 m). A Skoda Kodiaq 7 pax or Mercedes G 500 for this route.

TFN → south of the island (TFS, Costa Adeje, Las Américas, 70 km, 1 hour)

If you landed at TFN but your hotel is in the south, a car solves the problem. The TF-1 south takes 55–65 minutes with no traffic. Much faster and cheaper than a taxi or bus. Any car in our catalogue will do.
